For 50 years, the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parade & Festivities Committee has proudly organized and presented one of the nation’s oldest and largest MLK Holiday celebrations, honoring the life, legacy, and enduring vision of Dr. King. Rooted in his dream, our work has consistently focused on inspiring unity, service, and civic engagement while empowering generations of leaders, youth, and community members to advance freedom and justice for all.

As we approach this historic milestone, the 50th Anniversary MLK Parade, taking place on January 18, 2027, will be celebrated under the theme “Highlighting the Dream.” This theme reflects both a tribute to Dr. King’s original vision and a renewed call to illuminate how that dream lives on through action, mentorship, education, nonviolence, and collective responsibility. It is an opportunity to reflect on progress made and to boldly commit to the work that remains.

The 50th Anniversary Parade is expected to draw record participation and viewership. The event will receive extensive media exposure, including televised and digital broadcast coverage through regional and national media partners, further amplifying the reach and impact of this historic celebration.

Beyond parade day, our mission extends year-round through advocacy and programming that support youth, families, and seniors, providing accessible education, community service initiatives, and opportunities that inspire personal growth and community transformation across South Florida.
