More than ever before, America’s present societal challenges speak to the need to promote the individual value and potential of all people as a means to eliminate poverty, racism, and violence everywhere.

For 48 years, the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parade & Festivities Committee has annually organized and presented innovative, entertaining MLK Holiday events that commemorate the life and legacy of the civil rights icon. Rooted in Dr. King’s dream and vision, this celebration and all our organizational efforts are predicated on empowering a new generation of powerful, positive, social change-makers to create freedom and justice for all people who suffer inequality.  

Our 2025 theme is “Don't Give Up On The Dream” which celebrates the 62nd anniversary of Dr. King's "I Have A Dream" speech and advocates for taking nonviolent action toward equality, justice, and change so that together, we can create a harmonious, equitable, and prosperous world.

WPLG 10 TV will televise the 2025 parade live, once again drawing record viewership and garner extensive national media through a broadcast collaboration with WLRN/PBS, who will live stream the event on its website and produce a one-hour television special. 

Recognizing the need throughout the South Florida community, in addition to our annual MLK holiday celebration, our advocacy for youth, families, and seniors also extends to providing dynamic, accessible education and community service that inspires personal and community transformation. 

Since our organizational philosophy centers on establishing valuable partnerships, we invite you to join us in advancing Dr. King’s aspirations and creating a world beneficial to all.  We are a 501(c)(3) corporation that genuinely appreciates volunteers who enrich our initiatives and certainly needs financial support, including in-kind donation of products and services, all of which are tax-deductible according to current IRS guidelines.
